FORENSICS Summer 2010 STUDENTS HAVE GRADUATED!!!!
August 12, 2010 the "Forensics In the Classroom" summer school program has completed its second year of a five year community learning grant. We had several youth complete the final course, WOW. That is great, the program had a very rocky start in September of 2008, and now we are just pushing along learning how to finger print and solve criminal cases.
HATS OFF TO YOU ALL FOR BELIEVING IN THE PROGRAM!
THE WINTER/SCHOOL YEAR PROGRAM : WHAT TO EXPECT: Now let's talk facts, our youth will use basic skills to solve murder mysteries, such as (science) and deduction (math). Each student will be offered homework assistance two times a week, giving them after school enrichment. Wait, on top of that each child will have the option to enjoy either basketball, karate. boxing or floor hockey (physical activities). Oh yeah, another no brainer.. Fun Zone, Adventure Land, Nassau County Morgue, several guest speakers, numerous give aways, a small snack and drink. The last thing I must mention is FRIENDSHIP, we will all have the opportunity to meet new FRIENDS and break bread together. Come enjoy our laughter, thrills and fun.
What I Love About EASTER....
Holiday Season/ Event TidBits
The Wiki entry for holiday suggests: Many Canadians will use the terms vacation and holiday interchangeably when referring to a trip away from home or time off work. In Australia the term can refer to a vacation or gazetted public holiday, but not to a day of commemoration such as Mothers' Day or Halloween.
